To create a new document:
Navigate to the folder where you want to create the new document.
Do one of the following, depending on the options available:
Click New Document.
Select File>New>Document.
If a selection page appears, then you must select a template for the new file. Select the template and click OK. For instructions on using the selection page, refer to Finding an item on a selection page.
Note: If the repository’s Templates cabinet does not contain a template for a custom type, then you cannot create a file of that type now. Instead, you can create a file on your local machine, import it into the repository, and then assign it the custom type.
In the Create tab, type the name of the new file. Enter additional information as desired.
In the Info tab (if available), set information as desired. If the Edit link appears next to a property, you can set the property’s values by clicking Edit and entering values in the resulting page.
Depending on your WDK-based application, other tabs might appear. Set information in these tabs as desired. For information on the functionality affected by those tabs, refer to the topic in this guide that covers that functionality.
Click Finish.
