This procedure describes how to freeze an existing, unfrozen snapshot. Freezing a snapshot gives you control over what can be done to the snapshot and to the snapshot’s components.
When you freeze a snapshot:
You cannot add components to or delete components from the frozen snapshot.
You cannot change the content or attributes of the components of the frozen snapshot unless you check the components in as new versions.
You cannot change the contents or properties of the document object associated with the snapshot, unless you check the document object in as a new version.
To freeze a snapshot:
Navigate to the snapshot.
Do one of the following, depending on the options available:
Click More>Tools>Freeze Snapshot.
Check the snapshot’s checkbox. Then select Tools>Virtual Document>Freeze Snapshot.
